But aside from the great service, and high quality, you may be asking yourself ‘How much should I budget for a good painter?’
This is a really tough question. The price of a paint job is driven by a few important factors, including but not limited to:
- How much surface area needs to be painted?
- How difficult is it to paint that surface?
- What level of prep is required?
- What product are you putting on it?
- How many coats of paint are required?
- How difficult is it to access the area being painted?
These are just the obvious direct inputs that affect the price. And it’s because of this that most paint contractors are hesitant to provide a price over the phone. But, it is helpful to have some expectations as to what you’re walking in to, so here’s a little guide on pricing (but you can’t hold me to it!). This is for two coats on all surfaces:
